The B Commandments

Everyone at B follows the same rules,  adhering to these commandments helps keep us all in sync and it helps prepare your mind and body for what’s to come.

  1. I WILL NOT RIDE WITH A FULL STOMACH

Give yourself at least an hour to digest food, otherwise, it could lead to stomach cramps/pain, and overall not a great time. While we understand some people enjoy this workout on an empty stomach, know your body and ensure you’re supplying it with the vital nutrients it needs to give you the best workout possible.

  1. I WILL ARRIVE EARLY

Arrive at least 5 minutes before the class start time to set up your bike, check in and prepare yourself for class. Latecomers will not be admitted. Late cancellations  and no-shows will result in the class being removed from your account or a fee charged to your monthly membership ($12 for any cancellations outside of the 8 hour window before class. $15 for a no-show).

  1. I WILL NOT MISS MY MOBILE

Smart phones control our lives, but at B’s we don’t let them control our workout. Leave it in your locker, car, or at home. Let your brain breathe and your mind run free. If you are a doctor on call or dealing with an emergency please leave your phone with the front of house staff and they will discreetly grab you out of class if necessary.

  1. I WILL STRETCH

Warm up with some gentle stretches and allow your limber body to slip into the rhythm and moves quicker. We’ll help you cool down with some stretches as well to prevent stiffness later in the day.

  1. I WILL WEAR CLEAN CLOTHES

Make sure you’re wearing fresh, clean clothes. There’s nothing worse than being stuck next to someone that smells like a pair of dirty spin socks that haven’t been washed in weeks. This will affect your pace, and our peace – Do your laundry and help keep the odor out.

  1. I WILL WEAR APPROPRIATE CLOTHING

You know the difference between gym clothes and street clothes, but in case you’d like a reminder….On your lower body we suggest form fitting exercise clothing  (padded cycling shorts are recommended) and for the upper body wear a thin moisture wicking shirt; ladies if you need to peel down to your sports bra, do your thing.

  1. I WILL STAY HYDRATED

The night before, the morning of, and during class, be sure to keep yourself hydrated. We rehydrate best with small sips of water.

  1. I WILL STAY FOCUSED & PRESENT IN CLASS

Say it with us, “I will stay focused in class.” We love your energy and hype, and encourage you to hoot and holler throughout class, but let’s stay vocal about the class, and be in the moment; leave the planning chats, discussions and your to-do list at the door.

  1. I WILL WORK THE ROOM

The front row sets the mood. If you want to ease off the pace, stay anonymous and book a bike near the back.  It’s important for everyone’s well being that you don’t leave the room during class, listen to your body first and the instructor second – if you need a break, reduce the tension or lower the speed, but stay in your saddle.

  1. I WILL HAVE GOOD  VIBES ONLY

We are in this together and positive energy is contagious. The more good vibes you give out, the more you get back. Bad day? Put on a smile, clip in your shoes, and pull yourself together. We ride through it, together.
