Free Spin Classes Anyone? The B Kind Karma Team Is Expanding!

Do you light up the room when you walk in? Do you live and breathe fitness? Are you hoping to get more involved in the fitness community while getting fit yourself? Or, are you just stuck at an office job and want to let your inner fitness spirit shine? Well, we have the perfect gig for you. Our B Kind Karma volunteer team is expanding, and for just one shift a week, you will receive free spin and strength classes anytime you want (including the shift you work!). In return, we receive your help running the studio smoothly with day to day tasks including; laundry, cleaning (floors, washrooms, windows, bikes, etc), checking in members and making sure everything runs smoothly before, after, and during classes. We have a great team of B Kind Karma volunteers already, but we are looking for help for the following shifts:

Tuesdays – 8:45AM – 10:45AM
Thursdays – 4:30PM – 8:30PM
Fridays – 6:00AM – 10:00AM
Sundays – 9:00AM – 10:45AM

A Different Kind Of Spin Class – A Different Kind Of Spin Bike

What makes the spin classes at B so exceptional?! Well, how long do you have? We have so many reasons to tell you why our classes are amazing, BUT we’d like to keep this article short and highlight just three of our favourites:

  1. The class styles. Love the new age spin with push-ups, dips and tap backs in the dark? it HHit a RIDE class. Prefer to keep things simpler (equally as challenging) but don’t love riding to the beat of the music? Try our Classic Rides, designed to feel more like a road ride.
  2. The instructors! Did you know most of our instructors have YEARS of teaching experience? These motivators not only talk the talk, but they walk the walk. If you’re hitting a Classic Ride class, you better believe those ladies know how to road ride. Be prepared to learn, to grow and to be pushed.
  3. Last, but certainly not least, our BIKES! Why are our bikes so great? We thought we’d let the Johnny G Spirit Bike explain for itself:

Kelowna’s Newest Spin Studio Offers Six Different Class Types

When it comes to working out in Kelowna, we know you have a lot of options; there are spin studios, bootcamp facilities, fitness classes at the gym, and at home training programs, so what’s a fitness goer to do? Well, at B, we have taken the “work” out of planning your workout. We offer a wide variety of spin and strength training classes that will hit every muscle in your body, every day. With one membership you can improve your cardio, decrease your fat, and build lean muscle, and we almost forgot to mention, you’ll have fun while you’re doing it! We don’t believe fitness is “one size fits all” so we offer a variety of classes to ensure there is something for everyone. 

Here’s a breakdown of the six fitness classes we are offering at our new studio in the lower mission:

RIDE: Our signature class. This isn’t your average “spin class.” We ride to the music, we turn down the lights, and you experience 45 minutes of high intensity bliss, drills, sprints, and a ride that will leave you with a rush of endorphins that will take you through the day.

Classic Ride: Love the ride, but not all the hype? Think of this classic ride as more of a road ride that focuses more on technique, drills and getting you moving, while providing a little bit more recovery time. It’s brighter, it’s (a little bit) quieter but it’s still one hell of a ride.

Rise N’ Ride: Wake up in the morning feelin’ like P-Diddy – there’s no better way to start your day than this high-energy class packed full of intervals, hills, races, and rhythm riding to the latest and greatest beats. This class will spike your heart rate, get your muscles fired up, your metabolism revving and make sure you start your day with a smile! We promise it’s better than brushing your teeth with a bottle of jack. Extra motivation included, because, mornings. 

Lunch RIDE – The slightly less excessive sister of our standard RIDE class. Five minutes shorter, at noon, so you can get your sweat on and sneak in a lunch before you get back to the grind.

Bootcamp – This class has got it all. Muscle sculpting exercises designed to get every muscle firing, executed in a H.I.I.T. style class that keeps your heart rate up, and your body firing on all cylinders.

Straight Strength – Skip the cardio. This class is dedicated to building strength, toning the body and developing muscle in all the right areas. No cardio required.
